Enabling SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) on another port is quite quick. To do this, please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below:

  • Login to you WHM (Web Host Manager)
  • Next, go to the "Service Configuration" section
  • Locate the row that says "Exim on another port" option
  • Please enable the following two check boxes:

    Monitor = YES (Checked)
    Enabled = YES (Checked)

  • Once ready, please click "Save" to apply your settings!

Now your cPanel SMTP should start functioning on port 26 rather than just on port 25 (which is blocked by most of the ISPs).

Should you have any further questions pertaining to your cPanel license, please feel free to get in contact with our web hosting support team for additional assistance.

Sometimes is smart to use port 2525 as Exim alternative with hosting server cause it is really easy to remember :)

Thats done via WHM, services, enabled Exim on alternative port 26. It is even changeable there but 26 is the cPanel hosting control panel.
