The process for changing your cPanel hostname is quite easy and can actually be accomplished within a few minutes or less within Linux. Please follow the aforementioned step-by-step directions outlined below:

  • Login to your cPanel/WHM server via SSH
  • Next, please run the following command within Linux:

    hostname server.your-domain-here.com && /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

  • Please adjust the values outlined in BOLD to their actual values

Should you have any further questions pertaining to your cPanel license, please feel free to get in contact with the LicenseCube support team for additional assistance and/or guidance.

The easiest way to set the hostname is to use SSH in the linux server and edit /etc/sysconfig/network file and restart the server.
