The process for limiting the maximum message size within Parallels Plesk is quite easy, and can be accomplished in a few easy-to-follow steps. Please see below for more detailed instructions on how to complete this:

  • Login to your Plesk as the administrator
  • Next, locate the "Server Management" section and on "Tools & Settings"
  • Once under "Tools & Settings" locate the "Mail" section
  • Under the "Mail" section, click on the "Mail Server Settings" link and locate:

    # Maximum message size

  • Next, you will be able to update the size in "Kilobytes" in the input field
  • Once ready, please input the new value and click "OK" to save changes!

Should you have any further questions pertaining to your Plesk license, please feel free to get in contact with our web hosting support team for additional assistance.

This is really useful to limit the attachment size via web based email Plesk is offering by default.

This is a lot easier done with Plesk than with cPanel. Seems we will be migrating all our cPanel dedicated servers left to Plesk.

Central PHP memory_limit should be under /etc/php.ini as Plesk is using the OS based Apache/PHP locations.
