How would I upgrade my ClientExec Installation?

The process of upgrading you ClientExec installation isn’t complicated. However, to be as methodical as possible, we’ve split up everything into multiple sections. Please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below.

Please note this tutorial takes into account that you have already downloaded the latest version of ClientExec and are familiar with using an FTP client.

Backing up your ClientExec Database:

• Login to your cPanel web hosting account
• Next, locate the "Databases" section
• Then, click on the "PHPMyAdmin" icon
• Once loaded, locate the ClientExec database from the left side menu
• Finally, click on the "Export" tab in the top menu to export your database
• Upon loading of the "export" page, simply click on the "Go" button at the bottom

Initializing the ClientExec upgrade process:

• Login to your cPanel web hosting account via FTP
• Next, navigate to the ClientExec installation directory
• Remove all the files apart from the two following items:

• Folder(s): /uploads/
• File(s): config.php

• Upload the new ClientExec files (minus the ones outlined above)

Finalizing the ClientExec upgrade process:

• Go to the ClientExec installation URL (and append /install.php onto the URL)

  Example: http://YOUR-CLIENTEXEC-URL.COM/install.php

• Perform the necessary upgrade steps (including ClientExec login)
• Upon completion, your ClientExec will be updated to the latest version!
