The PayPal payment gateway configuration within WHMCS is quite easy and can be accomplished in a few easy to follow steps. For your convenience, we’ve separated each step to make things simpler. Please follow the outlined steps below:

Configuration within WHMCS:

  • Login to your WHMCS Admin Area
  • Next, go to "Setup" and then onto "Payments" and onto "Payment Gateways"
  • Then, locate PayPal in the drop down list, and click "Activate"
  • Once activated, review all the settings and input needed information
  • Finally, click on "Save Changes" once ready to apply your changes!

Setting up PayPal:

  • Login to your PayPal Account
  • Next, go to your "Profile" and then onto "Instant Payment Notifications"
  • Once within this section, click on "Choose IPN Settings"
  • Input the IPN URL such as:

  • Make sure you enable "Receive IPN Messages (Enabled)
  • Finally, simply click on "Save" to apply your settings!

Final WHMCS configurations:

  • Login to your WHMCS Admin Area
  • Next, go to "Setup" and then onto "Products & Services" and "Products & Services"
  • Click on the main category that your products are under
  • Once loaded, locate "Available Payment Gateways" and enable "PayPal"
  • Finally, when ready, simply click "Save Changes" to apply!

Please note you may need to repeat the WHMCS process outlined a few times dependent on the amount of categories you have within your WHMCS.
