The process for resetting your WHMCS password is quite simple. Nonetheless, you must have a few vital pieces of information and corresponding access rights. Please see the step-by-step directions outlined below:

  • Login to your cPanel web hosting account
  • Next, locate the section entitled "Database"
  • From there, click on the "PHPMyAdmin" icon
  • Next, locate the WHMCS database on the left-side menu
  • Then, locate the table entitled "tbladmins" and click "Browse"
  • After that, locate the "admin" row and click on the edit icon next to it
  • Next, locate the "password" row, and input your new admin password
  • Finally, select "MD5" as the as the encryption and click "GO" to apply!

Once you’ve completed all the above-mentioned steps, you will be able to login to your WHMCS admin area using your "admin" username and your newly added password.

IP restriction to WHMCS admin area is a must. Otherwise you are risking your WHMCS to be accessed by hackers.
