How do I change IP addresses within DirectAdmin?

The process for changing your IP address within DirectAdmin isn’t complicated, but it does come in two parts, which are both very important. Please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below for more information.

Changing the DirectAdmin licensed IP:

• Please go to the contact us section of our website
• Fill in all the relevant information needed
• Next, indicate that you’d like to change your DirectAdmin license IP
• Finally, click the "Submit Form" button

Adjusting the IP address within DirectAdmin:

• Login to your DirectAdmin Virtual/Dedicated server via SSH
• Next, please run the following command within Linux:

  cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts &&
  ./getLicense.sh 24580 <LICENSE-KEY>

• Please adjust the items outlined in BOLD to their correct values
• Then, please restart DirectAdmin by doing the following:

  # /etc/init.d/directadmin restart

• Next, you’ll need to switch out the IP address by doing:

  cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts &&
  ./ipswap.sh <CURRENT-IP> <NEW-IP>

• Please adjust the items outlined in BOLD to their correct values

  # reboot
